Epistia is a question-driven map of knowledge for adults with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity. Pick one "why?" and read for just five minutes — two new questions will be born. The trail of questions you follow grows into a star chart of knowledge that is yours alone.
Not for exams or credentials — learning because you want to know. And rather than letting that learning scatter and fade, it stays on a map, showing you where to go next so your knowledge connects. That is the kind of place we are trying to build.
Editorial policy — how our content is made
Epistia's mini-reads are produced by combining AI writing with human approval. Here is the process, in the open.
- AI surveys academic sources and writes a draft.
- After drafting, every name, study, and number in the text is checked against sources on the web. Claims we cannot verify are removed or softened.
- The sources each piece relies on are listed at the end of the article.
- Finally, a human editor reviews every piece, and only approved ones are published. We never publish AI-generated content as-is.
Where scholars genuinely disagree, we do not crown one position as the answer — we present the disagreement as it stands. If you spot an error, please tell us. We will verify and correct it promptly.
About the books we recommend
Each "first book" is chosen by our editors as a doorway into its field. If we ever introduce affiliate links, we will say so clearly on the page.
