Epistia (the "Service") is operated by Rekid inc. ("we" or "us"). We handle users' personal information in accordance with the following policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address (when you use the login feature or join the waitlist)
- Learning records: the questions you have read, the answers you have written, the fields you have saved, and your quiz responses. When you are not logged in, these are stored only on your device (in your browser's localStorage) and are never sent to our servers. When you are logged in, they are stored on our servers, linked to your account.
- Usage data: activity logs such as page views and clicks (collected through an analytics tool and used only to improve the Service)
2. How we use it
- Providing the Service (syncing your star chart, generating reports, sending email)
- Processing payments for paid plans (payment details are handled by Stripe; we never hold your card number)
- Improving the Service and investigating issues
- Sending important notices
3. Third parties and processors
We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law. To operate the Service, we entrust processing to the following providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), and Anthropic (the AI guide feature; conversation content is used only to generate the guide's responses).
4. Email
You can stop emails such as the weekly question digest at any time, from your account settings or via the method described in each email.
5. Deleting your data
If you would like your account and learning records deleted, please contact us. Learning records kept while logged out can be erased by clearing your browser's data.
6. Changes to this policy
If we revise this policy, we will announce it on this page.
